Updates, Etc.

A note from Megan, your Web Admin:

December is a busy month for Abbeville UMC! We’ve been hard at work both online and offline. The “Welcome” page has been updated to include our Vision Statement, and some menu items have changed. The menu item labeled “Events” has been changed to “Calendar” for clarity, and our Vision and Goals have been added as a drop-down menu item. We’re trying to keep the site as easy to navigate as possible so that you can find the information you’re looking for with a minimum of clicks.

As we continue on the Path to Transformation, our Vision has been defined as, “Called to be a vibrant and loving presence in our community, leading God’s people to hopeful living through Jesus Christ by serving children and families.” Condensed to our Purpose, we are “Loving, Leading, Serving”. Look for the hashtag #LovingLeadingServing on Facebook and Instagram. To learn more about our Vision and Goals, click on the menu item “Vision”.

We thank you for your prayers, your gifts, and your continued support!

Peace, love, and prayers!

The Dust Has Settled

A Note from Megan, your Web Admin:

The new site design seems to be working well so far. There are a couple of issues that need tweaking, but the kinks will eventually get worked out.

If you’ve been a frequent visitor, you may have noticed that we have a new menu link up top for our Stewardship Campaign. Be sure to check back every Monday for updates on that page, as there will be links to reference materials to go with each week’s message.

Keep an eye on the Blog, because our pastor, Dr. Mollie McGee will be putting on her blogging hat and contributing to the site very soon!

We have the calendars for November and December up under “Events”. Check back frequently, as new events are added and others are updated.

Peace, love, and prayers!

Yard Sale

Abbeville United Methodist Church holds 2 yard sales per year – one in the spring, and one in the fall. The Yard Sale is one of our most popular events!

Our Fall Yard Sale is coming up this Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6. The hours for Friday are 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Saturday’s hours are 8 a.m. to noon.

There will be food available to purchase, and a portion of the proceeds will go to help fund the Briggs Food Pantry, a joint ministry of Briggs United Methodist Church and AUMC.

In addition to all the great deals in clothes, toys, and housewares, we are doing something new! We are giving away a gift basket each day of the sale, so be sure to enter! You just might win!
