It’s been a while, but we’re back. 🙂
A new season for Abbeville United Methodist Church began today with our new pastor, Rev. Mary Rachel Moore taking the reins. She comes to us from Asbury United Methodist Church in Lafayette, where she served as an Associate Pastor. Rev. Mary Rachel will be pastoring Abbeville UMC and our new co-church, Kaplan UMC. She brings with her her husband Shane Ambro, and their 2 young children, Jack and James. We are eagerly looking forward to what God will do through her ministry in Abbeville and Kaplan!
With a new pastor comes new ideas, new ways of doing things, and new TIMES! Abbeville UMC has a new Sunday schedule that begins tomorrow, July 2, 2023. Sunday school will start at 8 a.m. and end at 8:45 a.m., and our worship service will begin at 9 a.m. We will be having Communion this Sunday, and immediately after the worship service, we will have a “Meet & Greet” reception to welcome Rev. Mary Rachel and her family to Abbeville UMC. We will have coffee and a selection of breakfast finger foods available for refreshments. Please plan to stay after Worship.
As you can see, we’re updating our website. After 3+ years of inactivity, a fresh, new design was needed. It’s still very much a work in progress, but we will try to keep the navigation simple.
This is a day for new beginnings, and I pray God will bless you abundantly.
